Mobile Safety-Net Team
In response to the growing needs of Western New York residents caused by the national economic downturn, The John R. Oishei Foundation has convened a group of Basic Human Needs providers to work toward a strategy that will directly address the region's growing issues. As a result, the providers helped conceive the Mobile Safety-Net Team Program. The program will consist of three traveling teams with expertise in human and social services. These teams will traverse various communities/neighborhoods throughout Erie and Niagara Counties to assist with the changes in lifestyle people are experiencing. The program's objective is to provide support and information in key needs areas including:

- Finance/Legal Assistance
- Employment
- Health Insurance
- Social Services
- Crisis Services
These areas of focus will also continue to be addressed within the communities by a variety of other service agencies. This initiative is designed to supplement existing programs and better coordinate efforts and services to address the elevated needs resulting from the nation's economic decline.
